讀後心得
The Cheng Tian Architecture Studio, led by Luo Gengfu, focuses on creating living spaces that embody the concept of "harmony between heaven and humans," redefining the relationship between people and nature. Since its establishment in 2001, the team has been committed to achieving a harmonious unity between architecture and interiors, employing minimalist design techniques and paying attention to environmental factors to promote sustainable concepts. Luo Gengfu's background is in psychology, gradually shifting towards architectural design, emphasizing that design should take natural elements into account. In this year's "Anping Star Diamond" project, he has integrated a significant amount of ecological design to create sustainable commercial spaces that offer a unique shopping experience. At the same time, he plans to explore more designs for public buildings and eco-cities in the future.
From psychology to architectural design, the designers at Cheng Tian Architecture Institute are committed to creating a living environment that harmonizes heaven and humanity, reinterpreting the relationship between people and nature from a unique perspective.
Founded in 2001, Cheng Tian Architecture Institute has consistently adhered to one philosophy under the leadership of its designers: high-quality design should extend from architecture to interior spaces, achieving a harmonious unity of interior and exterior. The team strives to pursue a design vocabulary that coexists with nature, allowing users to genuinely feel the beauty of nature. They employ a minimalist approach, presenting the essence of things through pure perception and creativity.
Regarding how to achieve a connection between humans and the environment through design, he believes that unlike the opulent interior decorations found in Asia, he incorporates the concepts of yin-yang and feng shui into his designs, using natural light and water features to create a state of harmony between heaven and humanity. When designing spaces such as residences, dining areas, offices, and shopping malls, he considers environmental factors like sunlight and wind direction, designing spaces suitable for living activities while also adhering to sustainable concepts.
This year, he is most proud of his project, the commercial plan "Anping Star Diamond" near Anping Port in Tainan, which includes the design of the largest shopping mall, "Zhu Yue Zhu Lin." This mall breaks conventional shopping center operation models, employing a biophilic organic semicircular architectural design that creates an activity space integrated with the forest, bringing the coastal natural ecology inside the building and planting up to 400 native Taiwanese trees in the design to provide a rich green space and forest environment.
He enjoys taking on different challenges and solving terrain and environmental issues in various base environments, while meeting the needs of clients. He looks forward to rebuilding a small ecosystem of the base during the design process, providing a space that is permanently suitable for human use.
For an excellent interior design project, he believes the key lies in returning to nature; from material selection to spatial layout, he strives to choose environmentally friendly, recyclable materials to reduce the use of decorative materials. Additionally, he makes good use of natural elements to create playfulness within the space.
2023 has been a significant turning point for him. With an increase in staff, design projects have become more complex, presenting new challenges for him and his colleagues. He looks forward to trying more public buildings in future projects and collaborating with other firms to promote the development of ecological and sustainable cities.
