Hidden in the tropical rainforest of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, ALAN Resort combines privacy and luxury, allowing travelers to coexist harmoniously with nature and reconcile with themselves. Xishuangbanna is located at the southernmost part of China, bordering Myanmar and Laos, and is rich in rainforest ecology, rare flora and fauna, and diverse ethnic cultures. The climate here is warm and humid, and each building is designed to fit the local environment, showcasing a unique "open" design: elevated structures are perfectly integrated with natural materials, allowing the architecture to seamlessly connect with the surrounding nature. ALAN Resort is a microcosm of this land, with design inspiration drawn from the natural flowing lines of the rainforest, incorporating local natural elements and cultural symbols to create a healing space that coexists with nature, allowing guests to experience true "seclusion" and "luxury".
ALAN Resort covers an area of 3,500 square meters, carefully crafted by a design team. The design is centered around "not disturbing nature," with buildings constructed according to the topography, avoiding excessive alteration of the landscape, making each structure look like part of nature. The hotel is divided into three floors, with the central swimming pool serving as the visual focal point of the overall space, surrounded by buildings that present a harmonious integration with the mountains and waters.
The entrance design is characterized by a series of progressive steps, making the process of entering the hotel resemble increasingly delving into the rainforest. Looking around, swaying green plants come into view, the gentle sound of flowing water whispers in the ear, with the humid tropical air refreshing the face, each step filled with surprises of encountering nature.
The core concept of the room design emphasizes "privacy" and "nature." The rooms on the first floor feature exclusive private gardens, allowing guests to enjoy a moment of tranquility under the morning sun. The sunlight filters through the lush tree shadows, reflecting on the river surface, shimmering gold, accompanied by the sounds of nature.
The rooms on the second and third floors are equipped with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing guests to unobstructedly admire the magnificent views of the Lancang River and the endless greenery of the rainforest. The designer carefully selected vintage furniture with signs of time, adding a warm historical touch to the space while continuing the rustic atmosphere of nature, allowing the boundaries between indoors and outdoors to gradually dissolve, truly integrating nature into life.
The hotel's two-tier swimming pool fully utilizes the hillside terrain, with a progressive structure that allows sunlight to filter through the leaves and fall on the pool, creating an alternating light and shadow effect. The water reflects the blue sky and greenery, with birdsong and the sound of water intertwining, as if immersed in a natural landscape painting.
The restaurant features a transparent open design, with ample natural light streaming into the interior, creating a tranquil and bright atmosphere. Each dining experience is a delightful journey of feeling the fusion of nature and space.
Unlike traditional luxury hotels, ALAN Resort places greater emphasis on the essence of "returning to nature." The designer adopts an open, airy design to cope with the humid and hot climate of the tropical rainforest, allowing each space to seamlessly connect with nature, providing guests not only with comfortable enjoyment but also with opportunities for deep dialogue with nature.
