ANGIE's latest single "Caramel Eyes" and its music video will officially be released on March 25th. ANGIE has gained widespread popularity for her songwriting and performance of the hit series "The Queen" song "Imagine Us," and her first personal creative album "Caramel Eyes" quickly topped both physical and digital sales charts on Bokke Live after its release last year, showing that her musical creations have received much attention.
Since the end of February, ANGIE has been continuously releasing new songs at a rate of one per month, resembling a marathon relay where she introduces each song from the album one by one. This month, the title track "Caramel Eyes" was released. She mentioned that this song was created in one go, and the songwriting process was very smooth, perfectly representing the concept of the album, which is why she decided to name the album after the song. The filming of the music video also went smoothly, with ANGIE almost having no NG and quickly completing the recording.
This new single is an indie pop/rock piece inspired by her insomnia and anxiety. ANGIE stated, "The 'Caramel Eyes' color is the same as mine and many Asians, but it’s rarely described this way. Under the light of the sunrise, the caramel color appears especially beautiful, even if I haven't slept all night." Therefore, during sleepless nights, she transformed her complex emotions into notes through imagination and creation, not only healing herself but also composing multiple songs.
At the MV shooting site, the director intentionally created an oversized caramel eye prop to present the sense of anxiety in the song. When ANGIE saw the caramel eye, she was thrilled and quickly immersed herself in the song's atmosphere. During the shoot, ANGIE performed remarkably well, nearly all shots being completed in one take, which amazed everyone on site. She instantly fell in love with the caramel eye prop and asked during filming, "Can I take this eye home?" Although everyone initially thought she was joking, she was very serious and ended up packing the caramel eye to take home, happily stating, "I really love this eye!"
Due to the recent positive reviews for her songs, ANGIE has received various work invitations, not only participating in fashion brand events and performances but also taking on the stage play "iTunes: Brainstorming." Despite the heavy workload, ANGIE still feels happy, smiling as she says, "This kind of life is very fulfilling, great! I hope to keep busy."
