The deputy director of the Health Bureau stated that the detected pesticide, "Probac," has low toxicity to mammals and can be eliminated through urine or feces. The bureau urges the public to choose products with agricultural product certification to ensure food safety.

The Health Bureau has ordered the product to be taken off the shelves and recalled, and it has been handed over to the Health Bureau of the relevant supplier's county or city for follow-up handling.

The Health Bureau held a press conference stating that the Qingming Festival is an important day for ancestral worship and tomb sweeping. In order to ensure the hygiene and safety of seasonal sacrificial foods, multiple products were randomly sampled from restaurants, supermarkets, and traditional market vendors within its jurisdiction, including spring rolls, spring roll skins, peanut powder, bean products, fresh fruits and vegetables, completely vegetarian sacrificial foods, cake products, snack foods, and wet rice and noodle products.

The Deputy Director of the Health Bureau stated that a total of 95 products were randomly inspected, among which one batch of cilantro tested positive for pesticide "Propamocarb hydrochloride" exceeding the regulatory limit. According to the Food Safety and Health Management Act, this may lead to fines ranging from NT$60,000 to NT$20 million. The Health Bureau has requested the product to be removed from shelves and recalled, and has reported to the Health Bureau of the supplier's county or city for further handling.

The Deputy Director indicated that "Propamocarb" is a fungicide with very low toxicity to mammals; it can be eliminated from the human body through urine or feces and can be easily removed with running water. He urged the public that when purchasing fruits and vegetables, they should choose products with agricultural product labels or from reputable manufacturers to ensure food safety.
