"Dune: Awakening" is an open-world survival MMO game inspired by Frank Herbert's classic science fiction novel and the award-winning film produced by Legendary Entertainment, set to be officially released on May 20. Norwegian game developer and publisher Funcom announced today that pre-orders for the game have officially opened, and players have less than two months before they can land on this most dangerous planet!

In the deluxe edition, players will receive the powerful Sardaukar warrior armor and encounter this elite military group within the game, where they will be pursued. The standard, deluxe, and ultimate editions of the game are now available for pre-order on Steam, with the ultimate edition further including multiple extra content, such as a digital soundtrack lasting up to 90 minutes.

To celebrate this important moment, Funcom has specially prepared a behind-the-scenes video that gives players an in-depth look at the process of the award-winning composer and orchestra producing the album in London’s famous recording studio.

The game’s business model and release plan are explained in a specially recorded video by the Creative Director, ensuring players have complete information before making a purchase. The game will officially launch on May 20 and will:

• Release a full version rather than an early access mode
• Provide ongoing free updates without the need for a subscription, expanding game content and features
• Offer paid DLC options

Funcom has a long and rich history of developing and supporting online games, currently operating several MMO games, with "Anarchy Online" reaching its 25th anniversary next year, and "Conan Exiles" continuing to receive updates after eight years of DLCs, expansions, and free updates. "Dune: Awakening" will also continue to expand its content and features through free updates.

The pricing for "Dune: Awakening" is as follows:

• Standard Edition: 1,199 TWD
• Deluxe Edition: 1,699 TWD
• Ultimate Edition: 2,099 TWD

All versions offer players a 5-day trial period and several unique equipment items. The deluxe and ultimate editions will include a season pass that unlocks four downloadable content pieces over time, with the first DLC unlocking at the game's release.

Players who pre-order any version (including the standard edition) will receive a basic color scheme for vehicles, weapons, and armor, as well as an exquisite base decoration: the glass house of Muad'Dib, which includes the iconic desert mouse.

"Dune: Awakening," as one of the first games to adopt NVIDIA DLSS 4 technology, will support multiple cutting-edge technologies, greatly enhancing game graphics and performance, while also supporting AMD FSR and Intel XeSS 2 technology.
