The China Taiwan Affairs Office launched the "Taiwan Independence Violence and Accomplices Reporting Column" on the 26th, aimed at holding accountable those Taiwan independence activists and online influencers who undermine cross-strait peace. Spokesperson Chen Binhua stated that this column will legally pursue accountability for those who violate the law with solid evidence, and called on victims or individuals with information to provide reporting clues. Chen Binhua emphasized that the Democratic Progressive Party authorities have recently intensified their suppression of dissenting opinions, and the so-called "violent actors" and "accomplices" will also face severe punishment.

The spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office stated that this column aims to hold accountable certain Taiwan independence activists and internet celebrities, accusing them of undermining the peaceful development across the Taiwan Strait and promising to pursue legal responsibility for those with solid evidence against them.

The column mentions that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) authorities have recently been frequently suppressing political dissent, persecuting parties, organizations, and individuals that support peaceful development across the Strait. Some Taiwan independence organizations and individuals, public officials, and internet celebrities have acted as operators and accomplices, fostering unhealthy practices.

Chen Binhua emphasized that the DPP authorities resort to fabricating charges to suppress differing opinions in Taiwan, cracking down on parties, organizations, and individuals that do not align with their position. In response, the Taiwan Affairs Office expressed serious concerns and stated that these actions must be strictly punished.

Chen Binhua pointed out that the establishment of the column is meant to hold the main offenders of the aforementioned misconduct accountable and welcomed individuals who have been suppressed and those who understand the relevant circumstances to send information to the reporting mailbox. He stated that these cases would be handled properly, and those who have solid evidence of serious crimes would be held accountable under the law, while also strictly protecting the information and rights of the whistleblowers.

When asked by Taiwanese media whether this is related to the incident where internet celebrities were asked to leave the country due to their remarks on military unification, Chen Binhua only stated that those with solid evidence of serious misconduct would be held accountable under the law and pursued for life.
