The maple tree scored in every inning during the game, with Ye Sijun's double in the first inning giving the team their first score, adding 2 more runs in the second inning, and in the third inning, both Ye Sijun and Lai Kexin hit triples, along with two defensive errors from the Zhenshi team, allowing the team to add 4 more runs and expand their lead.

With a secure score, the maple tree decided to replace their main pitcher Li Xiangni after three scoreless innings. Although the relievers gave up some runs afterwards, the team scored another 5 runs in the fourth and fifth innings, ensuring a safe distance to win the game, ultimately securing victory at the end of the fifth inning. The head coach of the maple tree stated that today's batting performance was the main reason for the victory, emphasizing that no matter the opponent, they should not underestimate any game. Li Xiangni pitched a full 3 innings with no hits and no earned runs, striking out 4 and allowing 1 walk, earning the win. The coach pointed out that her performance was stable and her control of the ball was high, thus allowing her to start for three consecutive games to avoid restrictions from alternating games.

Li Xiangni responded that she was a bit nervous when starting, but the comfort and encouragement from her teammates helped her maintain confidence, and she felt her pitching was quite good today. The coach revealed that the five sixth-grade girls on this team have a great bond; Li Xiangni was originally not interested in playing ball but joined the team in fifth grade at the invitation of her classmates. Li Xiangni mentioned that although the practices are very hard, the games are quite fun, making her feel very joyful while playing. The maple tree's advancement to the top eight has set a new record in the team's history, considering there are only 27 students in the whole school, which is quite remarkable. The coach emphasized that this year's team is more complete, with more sixth-grade students, allowing them to reach the top eight.

After today's game, the list of top eight teams was fully revealed, including the Fengshu branch of Wumei Elementary School in Miaoli County, Zhongzheng Elementary School in Nantou County, Deyin Elementary School in New Taipei City, Xinglong Elementary School in Hsinchu County, Yizai Elementary School in Tainan City, Shangguan Elementary School in Hsinchu County, while Xinwu Elementary School in Taoyuan City and Puli Elementary School in Nantou County qualified for the top eight through drawing lots.
