The education bureau emphasized that students should try various avenues to find the development direction that suits them best. President Chen Wan-jen stressed that choosing vocational high school is not a compromise and expressed hopes to enhance the quality and visibility of vocational education.

In order to help vocational high school students grasp diverse pathways for further education and explore personal career development directions, the "Diverse Pathways for Vocational High School Further Education Seminar" organized by relevant units was grandly held in March 2025 at Songshan Agricultural and Industrial School. The event attracted a total of 73 students and parents, creating a lively atmosphere on site. The seminar aimed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the diverse pathways for vocational high school further education, offering clear directions for future career development.

This event especially invited the Academic Affairs Director of Yu Da High School, the Dean of the College of Tourism and Culinary Arts at Hsing Wu University of Science and Technology, and corporate instructors to share their experiences on education and career planning from different perspectives. The seminar covered various topics including diverse further education pathways (including preparations for the 108 curriculum guidelines), how to effectively utilize external resources (such as training courses, volunteer services, competitions, and certification exams) to enrich the learning experience, tips for recommendation and interview preparation, as well as real-life case sharing from students and parents. The goal was to assist students in planning their further education early and to grasp their future directions.

During the seminar, the Dean of Hsing Wu University delivered a speech titled "A Compass at the Fork in the Road," comparing further education pathways to forks in life, where each road contains different possibilities and challenges. He emphasized that through exploration and guidance, students could return to their inner selves from external choices, seeking their true passions and positions, which is a profound journey of growth and decision-making. The Dean also combined his own background and over twenty years of teaching experience to encourage students to discover their potential, establish self-identity, and called upon parents to play a crucial supportive role in this process to jointly create a fulfilling future.

The Education Bureau stated that every student possesses unique potential and interests, suggesting that students should try to engage with different things and fields, such as AI applications, and understand further education pathways. Proper utilization of resources and accumulation of learning experiences is essential to finding the university departments or career paths that best suit their personality and abilities.

The President of the Vocational High School Parents' Association also emphasized that choosing vocational high school is not a secondary option. Through appropriate counseling and career planning, vocational students can also have broad prospects. Vocational education is key to nurturing talent for future industries, and it is hoped that through the experience sharing and practical guidance of this seminar, the quality and visibility of vocational education can be further enhanced.
