Vocational High School Students Brave to Pursue the Future: Admission Seminar Aids in Dream Fulfillment

To assist vocational high school students in understanding diverse pathways for further education and career development, the Taipei City Vocational High School Parent Association held the "Diverse Vocational Advancement Seminar" in March 2025 at Songshan High School of Agriculture and Industry, attracting 73 students and parents to participate. The seminar featured experts, including the Academic Affairs Director of Yu Da High School and the Dean of Hsing Wu University of Science and Technology, who shared their experiences in education and career planning. The content covered topics such as preparation for further education, utilization of external resources, interview skills for recommendations, and typical case studies, aiming to help students develop their education plans. Dean Huang, with the theme "Compass at a Crossroads," used the metaphor of choosing educational pathways to encourage students to explore themselves and their potential. The Education Bureau and the Parent Association also emphasized the importance of technical and vocational education, calling for attention and support for the development of vocational students.
To assist vocational high school students in grasping diverse pathways for further education and exploring personal career development directions, the Taipei City Vocational High School Students Parents Association, with guidance from the Taipei City Government's Education Bureau, held the "Vocational High School Diverse Pathways Seminar" grandly in March 2025 at Songshan High School of Agriculture and Industry. A total of 73 students and parents participated that day, and the interaction was lively. This seminar aims to help attendees gain a deeper understanding of the diverse pathways for vocational education and provide clear directions for future career development.
This seminar specially invited experts from various fields to share their valuable experiences in further education and career planning, including the academic director of Yuda High School, the dean of the College of Tourism and Culinary Arts, and corporate trainers. They presented relevant topics from the perspectives of high school, higher education, and industry in an easy-to-understand manner.

Among them, the dean of the College of Tourism and Culinary Arts delivered a speech titled "Compass at the Fork in the Road," comparing pathways for further education to a fork in life where each road contains different possibilities and challenges. He emphasized that through exploration and guidance, helping students return from external choices to their inner selves to find their true passions and positioning is an important process of growth and choice. He also combined his own growth background and teaching experience to encourage students to discover their potential, build self-identity, and urged parents to play a supportive role, working with their children to create a unique and fulfilling future together.
The Education Bureau stated that each student possesses unique potential and interests, suggesting that students try to engage with various things and fields, such as AI applications, to gain a deep understanding of further education pathways and effectively utilize resources, so they can find university departments or career paths that best match their personalities and abilities.
The Taipei City Vocational High School Students Parents Association also pointed out that choosing vocational high school is not a fallback option. Through appropriate guidance and career planning, vocational students also have a broad future. Vocational education is key to cultivating talent for future industries, and it is hoped that the experience sharing and practical guidance from this seminar can further enhance the quality and visibility of vocational education.
