Kuomintang Taoyuan City Councilor Ling Tao criticized the Democratic Progressive Party for its harsh treatment of mainland spouses and pointed out that the 380,000 spouses from China, Hong Kong, and Macau are also part of Taiwan and should be treated with respect and protection. He questioned the hatred speech directed at mainland spouses online and the government's indifference towards it, deeming this as a violation of human nature.

If she fails to leave on her own, she will face forced deportation. In response, KMT Taoyuan City Councilor Ling Tao criticized the DPP sharply, pointing out that the suppression of mainland spouses has reached a dehumanizing level, and emphasized that the 380,000 spouses from China, Hong Kong, and Macau are "our family," as well as the parents of children in Taiwan.

Ling Tao mentioned on a pro-Taiwan political commentary program that 亞亞 has been besieged by the extreme factions and administrative agencies throughout Taiwan, with some netizens even openly calling for violence against mainland spouses. This level of hatred has already reached illegal proportions, which is concerning. The current situation faced by 亞亞 raises fears about what is happening to the social atmosphere in Taiwan. Shouldn’t law enforcement be investigating these online statements?

Ling Tao stated that the total number of spouses from China, Hong Kong, and Macau in Taiwan has reached 380,000, and if someone truly instigates violence, these mainland spouses are also part of the nation. Why are such statements allowed to remain on the internet? The Immigration Agency has requested that 亞亞 leave by the 25th, but she has appealed to the Supreme Administrative Court and is still awaiting a ruling. Even so, if the Immigration Agency still decides to deport her, when will the social climate in Taiwan improve? Ling Tao questioned whether a mainland internet celebrity he has never met can truly disrupt national security or undermine democracy. Why treat this mainland spouse in isolation? Does Taiwan have to be adversarial towards them?

He lamented that these spouses are also our family and the parents of children in Taiwan. Why treat them so harshly? Such operations are truly confusing, and this kind of behavior has touched upon the bottom line of humanity.
