The Executive Yuan President, Su Tseng-chang, today (26th) inspected the Jiang family ancestral house in Nansi, Tainan. Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu announced last night that after addressing the two referendum proposals put forth by the Kuomintang, he would continue with the general questioning session. However, Su Tseng-chang did not attend with officials despite being notified twice, which Han Kuo-yu expressed regret over. The Kuomintang Legislative Yuan caucus criticized the actions of the Democratic Progressive Party as inappropriate. In response, Su Tseng-chang stated that he abides by the regulations and emphasized that he left the legislative session in accordance with the meeting notification from the Legislative Yuan, following proper procedures.

The Executive Yuan Premier Chuo Rong-tai inspected the Jiang family's ancient house in Tainan's Nanshi this afternoon (26). Legislative Yuan President Han Kuo-yu held a second reading of two referendum proposals submitted by the Kuomintang (KMT) group last night and announced he would continue to conduct general inquiries with the Executive Yuan Premier. However, Han expressed deep regret that Premier Chuo Rong-tai did not attend despite receiving notifications from the Legislative Yuan twice. The KMT's Legislative Yuan party group today criticized the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for continuously occupying the podium and for Chuo Rong-tai's unannounced departure, labeling the DPP as "lawless and ruling by violence."

In response to inquiries about the departure from the blue camp while inspecting the Jiang family's ancient house, Chuo Rong-tai simply replied, "We act according to regulations." The Legislative Yuan was scheduled to address the two referendum proposals regarding anti-martial law and anti-death penalty put forth by the KMT on the 25th, but under opposition from the DPP, the meeting continuously stalled for an entire day. Han Kuo-yu returned to the meeting hall at 7:18 PM and, with the support of blue and white legislators, proceeded to vote, allowing both referendum proposals to pass the second reading. However, Chuo Rong-tai and other administrative officials had already left the meeting hall around 6 PM, and despite two notifications from the legislative staff, the administrative officials did not return to participate in the inquiries, which Han Kuo-yu expressed deep regret over.

Executive Yuan spokesperson Lee Hui-chih stated last night that according to the Legislative Yuan's meeting notification, Chuo Rong-tai entered the Legislative Yuan meeting hall at 08:58 AM yesterday and left at 12:03 PM, returning to the hall again at 02:26 PM. After the meeting concluded, Chuo Rong-tai bid farewell to Han Kuo-yu and, after obtaining consent, left the Legislative Yuan at 06:15 PM. Lee Hui-chih added that since there were still discussion items to address before the meeting ended, the formal "continuing inquiry" procedure had not yet commenced; thus, Chuo Rong-tai's departure procedures were carried out according to the Legislative Yuan's notifications and procedural rules without an official announcement extending the meeting.
