Legislator Li Yanxiu of the Kuomintang from Taipei's Neihu and Nangang (Fourth District) is currently facing a wave of "mass recalls." The recall group "Gonghu Chuxiu" indicated today (26th) that they have collected 20,000 signatures in just thirteen days for the second phase of the petition. In response, the chairman of the National Security Research Association stated that although Li Yanxiu has taken a passive approach to handling controversial events, the wave of recalls does not seem to be diminishing. The Kuomintang is currently caught in a dilemma between choosing a hot war or a cold war.

This time, the second phase of Li Yanxiu's recall petition requires 31,810 signatures. On the morning of the 26th, the recall group announced the progress of the petition from March 13 to March 26, surpassing 20,000 signatures in just thirteen days. In addition, the National Security Research Association also held a press conference to conduct a recall poll on the Kuomintang legislator. The results showed that in Li Yanxiu's electoral district, the proportion of support for the recall petition was 46.6%, with strong support accounting for 34.7% and modest support at 11.7%; the opposition was 41.3%, including 9.9% who were not very supportive and 31.3% who were strongly opposed, with 12.2% remaining undecided.

Regarding voting willingness, in Li Yanxiu's electoral district, 54.4% of respondents indicated they would go vote, while 41.4% said they would not, with undecided respondents at 4.2%.

In response to the results released by "Gonghu Chuxiu," the chairman stated that although Li Yanxiu has been low-key in action, her passive approach to related issues seems not to have quelled the recall wave. He believes that the Kuomintang is currently facing the dilemma of having to choose between a hot war and a cold war. If the effects of choosing a cold war fall short of expectations, then whether to shift to a hot war is a crucial decision that the Kuomintang urgently needs to address.
