Outside observers have questioned whether this move is part of China's countermeasures against Taiwan.

The mainland spouse "Aya" Liu Zhenya was asked to leave the country due to statements involving military unification, and has already left Taiwan by plane yesterday. The spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office, Chen Binhua, stated today that cross-strait marriage groups embody the spirit of family between the two sides and accused the "DPP authorities" of abusing the judiciary to oppress cross-strait marriage organizations. This action has sparked external doubts, viewing it as China's countermeasure against the forced expulsion of the mainland spouse "Aya" from Taiwan.

Chen Binhua explained that the purpose of establishing the column is to hold accountable the masterminds behind malicious acts and welcomes reports from the oppressed or those who are aware of the relevant situations. The official website pointed out that the "DPP authorities" have been continuously suppressing political dissent, attacking those who support peaceful development and integration between the two sides, while certain pro-independence organizations, individuals, and affiliated online celebrities act as their thugs and accomplices, which is concerning.

At today’s regular press conference, Chen Binhua reiterated that the "DPP authorities" constantly fabricate charges against different voices in Taiwan and oppress political figures and organizations with opposing views, and such actions must be punished. He also noted that the establishment of the column aims to hold accountable the aforementioned malicious behaviors and to punish those with solid evidence of criminal acts in the future, while ensuring that the information and rights of whistleblowers are legally protected.

In response to questions from Taiwanese media about whether this column is related to the case of the mainland spouse "Aya" Liu Zhenya, Chen Binhua only stated that those with solid evidence and serious circumstances will be held accountable according to the law. He emphasized again that cross-strait marriage groups demonstrate the affection between the two sides, but the "DPP authorities" abuse judicial means, forcing families apart and violating moral principles.

The mainland spouse internet celebrity Liu Zhenya, "Aya in Taiwan," had previously posted numerous videos online advocating military unification. The Immigration Agency revoked her residence permit for family reasons based on legal grounds, restricted her from applying again for five years, and required her to leave by a deadline. She departed by plane last night.
