The State Council of China announced that starting from April 10, a 34% tariff will be imposed on all imported goods originating from the United States in response to the U.S. equivalent tariff measures. In addition, the Ministry of Commerce of China has included 16 American companies on the export control list, and 11 companies have been designated as unreliable entities, prohibiting related imports and exports as well as new investments. China emphasized that the U.S. tariff measures violate international trade rules and has filed a lawsuit with the World Trade Organization to seek correction.
In response to the reciprocal tariff measures by the President of the United States, the State Council of China announced today (4th) that starting from April 10, a 34% tariff will be imposed on all imported goods originating from the United States. This tariff rate is exactly the same as the reciprocal tariff rate imposed by the United States on China.
At the same time, the Ministry of Commerce of China also announced that 16 American entities will be included in the export control list, and 11 American companies will be placed on the unreliable entity list to regulate their business activities in China. The State Council of China issued a statement indicating that on April 2, 2025, the U.S. government announced the imposition of reciprocal tariffs on Chinese goods exported to the U.S., stating that this practice is inconsistent with international trade rules, severely damages China's legitimate rights and interests, and constitutes unilateral bullying behavior.
