This case is located in a 78-ping duplex in Taoyuan, with a design style full of fashion and modernity. Meeting the expectations of the homeowners, a gorgeous home space has been completed. Fengju Interior Design integrates the homeowners' favorite modern and industrial styles, using dark tones to lay out the space and leveraging the advantages of the architectural sloped ceiling to plan a mezzanine audio-visual room, allowing this home to meet daily living needs while also providing a healing and recreational function and aesthetics.
The homeowners' preference for dark color schemes allowed this design to diverge from Fengju's previous color habits, using "gray" as the main tone. The living room's ceiling and walls use a special dark gray paint, with subtle textures becoming visible and fading in and out with changes in light and shadow, complemented by deep chestnut wood-grain flooring, creating a stable and profound spatial atmosphere. The TV wall emphasizes the position of the television through a staggered design, not only creating depth in the foreground and background but also sublimating the audio-visual function invisibly.
The design of the open dining room places the dining table against the wall, extending the scale of the space through the reflective effect of a tea mirror, enhancing the overall sense of openness and resonating with the modern style theme. The kitchen has updated the appliances provided by the developer, selecting styles that align better with the overall aesthetic, and adjusting the layout by changing the position of the refrigerator and adding an island bar, enhancing the gathering environment and creating new options for working from home. The wall above the workbench is especially decorated with metallic square tiles, making the visual more attractive and enriching the sense of layering.
The staircase to the second floor uses a hollowed-out cabinet instead of a solid wall, providing privacy for the sleeping area while also possessing a transparent visual effect. In the master bedroom, the ratio of dark colors is reduced, replaced by a combination of light gray, milk tea color, and black, weaving a warm atmosphere. The headboard wall uses a grid vocabulary and titanium-plated decorations, reflecting the milk tea color leather of the headboard, showcasing a fashionable and chic modernity without appearing overly ostentatious.
What I particularly love is that, due to this case being located on the top floor of the building, the sloped design brings ample height to the duplex. Thus, the designer planned a mezzanine audio-visual room, where the relaxing white tones break the color scheme of the large space, creating a pleasant atmosphere. With an island, refrigerator, and visible projection screen, the gathering functionality is quite complete!
