The designer uses a Japanese minimalist style as the main theme, creating a simple yet practical layout of 2 bedrooms and 1 living room, transforming the living room into a shared study, suitable for reading and hosting friends. The interior features warm solid wood and wood-patterned tiles, creating a natural atmosphere while providing ample storage space. The open kitchen design includes an island bar, serving multiple functions. The master bedroom overlooks the greenery of the campus and is equipped with a large wardrobe and a reading desk, while the second bedroom is flexible and can be adjusted to meet different needs. The overall design blends tranquility and practicality, providing the owner with a comfortable home filled with the aroma of books.
The editor takes you to visit a quality residence. The owner of this house is a young teacher. When purchasing a new home, the owner chose a single-story house of 16 ping near the school. The designer focused on the owner's favorite Japanese minimalist style and integrated simple, clean lines and colors to plan a layout of 2 bedrooms and 1 living room. After communicating the needs with the owner, it was decided to design the living room as a social study, allowing the owner to enjoy reading time here and comfortably host friends when they visit.
As you step inside, you will be surrounded by warm natural wood veneer and wood-patterned ceramic tile flooring, which together create a naturally therapeutic home atmosphere. With the extension of cabinets, not only is ample storage space provided, but it also guides the flow of movement and expands the sense of space. Since the owner's need for the living room is lower, the light-filled public area is designed as an open study, equipped with a full-height bookshelf that can properly store the owner's collection of books and teaching materials.
To increase the usable space in the kitchen, the kitchen area also adopts an open design. In addition to planning for a linear kitchen setup, an external island bar and hanging cabinets are installed, and an appliance storage area is integrated below the bar, allowing this multifunctional island bar to serve as a space for meal preparation, storage, and casual dining.
The master bedroom overlooks the verdant campus landscape, providing the owner with a comfortable and relaxing natural environment for after work and weekends. The designer has specially created a large wardrobe and reading desk to enhance practicality. The second bedroom retains greater flexibility, combined with the design of styled cabinetry, allowing easy adjustments to the space functionality according to different needs in the future.
The editor particularly loves this living space located next to the school; looking out the window, the beautiful campus scenery resembles a exquisite painting. The designer has skillfully blended the tranquility and stability of Japanese style, selecting materials that are easy to clean and maintain, creating a home life filled with the scent of books for the owner.
