The Ministry of Labor has launched the "Women's Reemployment Program" starting from September 2023, aimed at assisting women who have left the workforce due to family reasons to re-enter the job market. The program includes "Women’s Self-Training Incentives," "Women’s Reemployment Incentives," and "Employer Working Hours Adjustment Incentives," designed to encourage women to enhance their skills and promote employment. Women can apply for subsidies of up to 60,000 NTD, with the application deadline set for June 3. Those who meet the qualifications should apply as soon as possible. Additionally, the program will be further optimized in July to help more women return to work.

To help women who have left the workforce due to family reasons re-enter the job market, the Ministry of Labor has launched the "Women's Reemployment Plan" starting from September 112. This plan encourages women to improve their skills and facilitates employment through measures such as "Women's Self-Training Reward," "Women's Reemployment Reward," and "Employer Work Hour Adjustment Reward." Currently, the "Women's Self-Training Reward" is open for applications, and eligible individuals can receive a reward of up to 30,000 TWD. Combined with the "Women's Reemployment Reward," a total of up to 60,000 TWD can be received, with the application deadline on June 3, so don’t miss out!

Many women temporarily leave the workforce due to marriage, childbirth, or family responsibilities. To support these women in smoothly returning to work, the "Women's Reemployment Plan" promoted by the Ministry of Labor specifically targets women who have been away from the labor market for over 180 days due to family reasons, providing dedicated employment services, including job counseling and workplace adaptation courses, along with multiple incentive measures.

The "Women's Self-Training Reward" aims to encourage women to participate in vocational training and enhance their professional skills. After completing the course and successfully securing a job, they can receive a reward of up to 30,000 TWD. The "Reemployment Reward" is applicable to women who have been referred by public employment service agencies and have maintained stable employment for 90 days, and they can also apply for up to 30,000 TWD. Additionally, the program encourages employers to flexibly adjust the working hours of female employees, allowing them to balance family and work. After hiring the recommended women for one month, they can apply for a "Work Hour Adjustment Subsidy" of 3,000 TWD per month, for a maximum of 12 months, totaling up to 36,000 TWD.

The application methods for the Women's Reemployment Plan are as follows:

  • Women's Self-Training Reward: Submit applications to the affiliated branch of the Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency during the announced application period.
  • Reemployment Reward: Apply through the affiliated branch of the Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency or the municipal government, or register for job seeking and apply via the women's reemployment section on the Taiwan Employment Portal.
  • Employer Work Hour Adjustment Reward: Apply through the affiliated branch of the Ministry of Labor's Workforce Development Agency or the municipal government, or register for talent seeking and apply for the Employer Work Hour Adjustment Reward through the women's reemployment section on the Taiwan Employment Portal.

Currently, the "Women's Self-Training Reward" is open for applications and is expected to close on June 3. Women who are interested in returning to the workforce can contact their local branch of the Workforce Development Agency for detailed information. As for the "Reemployment Reward" and "Employer Work Hour Adjustment Reward," applications will continue to be processed by employment service agencies. Additionally, the Ministry of Labor plans to further optimize the program in July this year, reviewing the reward amounts and applicability to assist more women in successfully returning to the workforce.
