The Youth Development Bureau of Taipei City has launched the "Youth Innovation Internship Subsidy," aimed at providing subsidies for internship organizations such as startups, NPOs, and NGOs established in Taipei City for less than 8 years, with a maximum subsidy of 150,000 NTD. The program hopes to help young people accumulate workplace skills through internship experiences, facilitating their smooth transition into the job market. Each intern can receive a maximum subsidy of 6,000 NTD per month, and recent graduates with an associate degree or higher can receive up to 12,000 NTD per month, with subsidies available for up to 6 months. The Youth Development Bureau also plans to set up an "Internship Matching Zone" to make it easier for youth to find internship opportunities. More information can be found on the Youth Development Bureau's official website.
The Youth Development Office of Taipei City has launched the "Youth Innovation Workplace Internship Subsidy," providing a maximum internship guidance fee of NT$150,000 for startups and non-profit organizations. Eligible recipients include companies, business entities, legal persons, and institutions that have been established in Taipei City for less than eight years, as well as non-profit organizations and non-governmental organizations.
The Youth Development Office hopes to assist young people in accumulating workplace experience earlier and exploring career directions through internship experiences, thereby facilitating their smooth entry into the job market. This program aims to encourage startups, social enterprises, and public welfare groups to serve as internship units, guiding young people involved in the organizations and employing a "learning by doing" approach to promote mutual growth between youth and the organizations.
The head of the Career Support Division stated that to encourage the youth of Taipei City to actively engage in workplace internships during their studies and to prepare for their careers, this year, the "Youth Innovation Workplace Internship Subsidy" has been introduced to further expand internship opportunities. Startups or non-profit organizations often face challenges due to insufficient manpower, and the subsidized internship guidance fees can effectively cultivate future talent. The flat organizational structure of such organizations also allows youth to quickly accumulate professional skills and practical experience, achieving a win-win situation.
The Youth Development Office indicated that any company established in Taipei City for less than eight years and non-profit organizations offering internship positions may apply for this subsidy program. Applicants must ensure that each intern works more than 64 hours per month and provides corresponding salaries and labor insurance protections. This program offers up to NT$6,000 in subsidies per intern per year for enterprises or organizations. If the intern is a recent graduate from a college or university during the current year, the subsidy amount can be increased to NT$12,000 per month, with subsidies available for up to six months. Each internship unit can apply for a maximum subsidy of NT$150,000.
Additionally, the Youth Development Office has set up an "Internship Matching Zone" on the "Taipei Youth Career Development Platform," where approved internship units can post job vacancies. Young people can also search for internship opportunities and submit their resumes. The office encourages startups and non-profit organizations to actively apply, contributing collectively to the workplace development of Taipei's youth.
