The Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau, in collaboration with the local tourism and leisure association, will hold the "Liugui Retro and Trendy Tour" event from March 29 to May 31 at Baolai and Bulao Hot Spring Area, offering two day and night ecological tour routes, along with a retro music party and a mountain city water park that children love as part of a series of activities.

According to statistics from the Tourism Bureau, over 69.23 million visits are expected to Kaohsiung in 2024, demonstrating that its diverse tourism resources have become a top choice for travelers in Taiwan.

In addition to urban attractions, eastern Kaohsiung is known as the "back garden of Kaohsiung," boasting rich natural resources. Liugui not only has hot springs, silk floss trees, and plum blossoms, but it is also the birthplace of Kaohsiung's indigenous camellias. The daytime "Basalanxi Waterfall Secret Journey" will lead visitors along the trails to observe the rich ecology. Meanwhile, the nighttime "Baolai Night Adventure" will guide tourists into the ancient roads of Pulai Creek to explore historical culture and appreciate the beautiful scenery of the night ecology.

Moreover, the firefly viewing season in Namasha begins on March 21. This year, the results of firefly rehabilitation have been significant, and visitors will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain shining with lights.

Not only that, but people can also go to the Indigenous Products Market to experience harvesting dragon beard vegetables, and tourists are welcome to stay in legal lodgings or camp in Namasha to deeply experience the local indigenous culture.

From May 3 to 31, anyone who spends over NT$500 in the Liugui area can enjoy free access to the "Mountain City Water Park." The first weekend of the event will also feature a nostalgic market, offering local specialty products like nostalgic toys and retro items.
