Wang Hwei-mei, the Commissioner of Changhua County, led a delegation to Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, to participate in the annual international design event, the "Danish Three-Day Design Festival," in anticipation of the 2025 Taiwan Design Exhibition to be held in Changhua on October 10. The purpose of this visit was to draw on Denmark's experiences in sustainable design, cultural creativity, and exhibition planning to provide fresh international perspectives and inspiration for the upcoming design exhibition in Taiwan.

Wang emphasized that design is not only an expression of aesthetics but also an important means of practicing sustainable living. Through this visit, she witnessed the global influence of Danish design and felt how Nordic countries enhance urban quality through design, which aligns perfectly with the goals of the upcoming 2025 Taiwan Design Exhibition.

Danish design is renowned for its simplicity, functionality, and environmental consciousness, translating not only into product design but also forming a unique lifestyle aesthetic known as "Hygge." This year, the theme of the Danish Three-Day Design Festival is "KEEP IT REAL," emphasizing authenticity, personal expression, and sustainable values, attracting designers, industry professionals, and design enthusiasts from around the world to gather and showcase the latest achievements in Nordic design related to lifestyle aesthetics and environmental sustainability.

The delegation visited the Danish Design Museum, which serves as the national temple of Danish design, housing a rich collection from classic furniture to modern works. With the guidance of museum staff, they learned how the museum transforms design history into cultural resources through exhibitions and educational programs, stimulating creativity and linking it with industry.

Additionally, the team toured BLOX, an innovative building located by the waterfront in Copenhagen that was transformed from a 60-year-old former brewery site. Its unique appearance features interwoven, stacked transparent cubes, combining exhibition spaces, meeting rooms, dining, and retail areas, thus creating a platform for public life and creative exchange.

The building employs transparent green glass curtains that engage in dialogue with the traditional copper green roofs of surrounding buildings, embodying the spirit of integration between design, environment, and history, and serving as a model for urban renewal.

The 2025 Taiwan Design Exhibition will be held in Changhua for the first time, focusing on three major themes: "Living," "Culture," and "Industry." It aims to rethink daily challenges through the power of design, reshape cultural identity, and promote industry upgrades and international alignment. Design is not only the aesthetic language of cities but also a key driver of urban transformation and sustainable development. Everyone is invited to pay attention to the精彩亮相 of the 2025 Taiwan Design Exhibition in Changhua.
