It is relatively quiet on weekdays, but crowded on weekends, and the famous conveyor belt sushi is definitely worth a try. The market's operating hours are from Monday to Saturday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and on Sundays and holidays, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

You can also take the opportunity to visit other attractions in Shimonoseki, and the surrounding itinerary can last a whole day!

At the Mojiko ferry terminal, you can purchase tickets for ferries to Shimonoseki Takado Port and Senkaku Island, and you can board directly from here.

On a certain day, only the ferry to Shimonoseki (Takado) was in operation. At the boarding point, there are both a manual ticket machine and an automatic ticket machine available, with adult tickets costing 400 yen and children's tickets costing 200 yen.

The waiting area also serves as the ticket purchase point, and after disembarking, it is about a 3-minute walk to Takado Market. The fugu dishes here are very famous, and there are multiple spots nearby for taking cute pictures with fugu, so remember to create wonderful memories when you go.

On weekdays, Takado Market is relatively quiet, but from Friday to Sunday, and during public holidays, it is packed with bustling crowds, especially the charm of Sushi Street is irresistible.

The fugu, sea bream, and amberjack here are definitely worth trying, along with fresh seafood just caught by local fishermen. Although Sushi Street is smaller on Fridays, it has its own unique flavor.

The sashimi in the market is beautifully presented, and you can choose to dine in the eating areas on the first or second floor, or take the delicious food to enjoy the beautiful sea view with the Kanmon Strait and Kanmon Bridge. The differences between the sushi options in the market are not significant; they all provide fresh choices at reasonable prices, so why not try a few different ones?

If you happen to miss the lively moments on Fridays and Saturdays, there is a well-known conveyor belt sushi restaurant on the second floor called Kaiten Karato, which is definitely worth a try.
