Although he currently has no major issues and the police have successfully apprehended the suspect, this terrifying experience has left him unsettled. He said, "I can't believe that such an incident occurred in 'Ximen', a place almost all Koreans visiting Taiwan go to. I always thought Taiwan was a safe country, but after this event, I started to reevaluate that idea."
Student Shin pointed out that he went to Ximending to celebrate a friend's birthday today. After having beef noodles, he was preparing to take a bus back to the dormitory when he suddenly got stabbed in the back by a stranger with a knife while passing by a McDonald's. He said, "There was no conflict between us at all; it was my first time seeing that person. He stabbed me in the back with a curved knife from behind." At that moment, he immediately asked the assailant what he was doing, only for the assailant to flee. He urgently called the police and was sent to the hospital for treatment, stating, "The perpetrator has been apprehended by the police, and I am currently resting." Student Shin recalled the details of the incident, stating that he left the restaurant at 6:08 PM during business hours. While walking to the bus station, he suddenly noticed a man following him from behind, holding a tool. At first, he thought it was a toy knife until he turned around after his friends ran away and realized he had been stabbed. The assailant remained quite calm and quickly fled the scene in a vehicle. Due to the severity of his injuries, his wound continued to bleed for two hours, and he only received suturing treatment after 9 PM.
