She was accused by internet celebrity Si Chamao that the driver of the vehicle was an assistant to former People’s Party legislator Cai Biru, and subsequently, more shocking news emerged. Democratic Progressive Party Taipei City Council member Xu Shuhua revealed that as early as 2020, Xu Qiaoxin had “brought a gun to defect” asking Ko Wen-je to run for president, and expressed she would support fully. This internal information was even confirmed by an official. In response, Xu Qiaoxin demanded a confrontation to expose who was lying.

Legislator (KMT) Xu Qiaoxin told supporters: “Friends in Taipei, please help me a lot, pull (anti-recall) votes, ok?” During her anti-recall event in Taichung, she interacted with the locals. Netizens questioned on Facebook, and Xu Qiaoxin replied, “That is a People’s Party car.” After further examination, Si Chamao pointed out that the driver of the vehicle was indeed Cai Biru’s assistant “Wang Mingwei,” and Xu Shuhua subsequently revealed the details between Xu Qiaoxin and the People’s Party.

Taipei City Council member (DPP) Xu Shuhua stated: “It was Xu Qiaoxin who proposed Ko Wen-je to run for president; she asked Ko Wen-je to run and stated she would fully support him. At that time, she directly brought her assistant to find Ko Wen-je, which means bringing a gun to defect, and this matter has also been confirmed by internal sources.” Xu Qiaoxin immediately released a statement refuting, emphasizing that this was all fabricated and lies by Xu Shuhua, and stated that she could be verified by anyone in the People’s Party. She further stated that if Ko Wen-je was released from custody, she was willing to confront Ko Wen-je and Xu Shuhua face to face to find out the real truth.
