Subsequently, the man, dissatisfied, used the helmet to attack. The police urge participants in the event to remain rational, stating that any incidents of violence will be dealt with severely according to the law.

After receiving reports, the police quickly took action and arrested the assailant, transferring him for legal proceedings in accordance with the Social Order Maintenance Act.

According to police information, a citizen uploaded a video of the "Dajia Mazu Fighting Cup" on the messaging app Telegram, which shows the Mazu palanquin of Dajia Zhenlan Temple on parade. Members of the temple clashed with a group of men wearing white shirts, leading to one man from the group becoming dissatisfied and grabbing a motorcycle helmet from the roadside to attack the temple members. After receiving the report, the police dispatched a rapid response unit to the scene, but the involved parties had already left after the incident. Upon understanding the situation, the police contacted the beaten temple member, Mr. Huang, to discuss the matter. Mr. Huang stated that due to the large crowd, while the temple members were clearing the way for the Mazu palanquin, they clashed with the man in the white shirt, resulting in the latter's dissatisfaction and the ensuing assault. However, he indicated that he did not wish to file any criminal charges.

The Dajia police immediately reviewed surveillance footage and confirmed the identity of the suspect as Mr. Huang, subsequently notifying him to come in for questioning. Ultimately, the case was adjudicated based on Article 87 of the Social Order Maintenance Act for "adding violence to others." The Dajia branch of the police reminded participants that the Mazu pilgrimage event is an annual religious celebration that attracts many devotees, urging all participants to maintain a respectful and rational attitude. During the pilgrimage, due to the large crowds, there will inevitably be situations of pushing and waiting, and it is hoped that everyone can show understanding and tolerance to create a safe and harmonious environment for the pilgrimage. If incidents of crowd fighting or other disturbances occur during the event, the police will take strict legal action without leniency.
