Nagase Ren, a member of the Japanese boy band King & Prince, recently held two fan meetings in Taiwan. In a post-event interview, he shared his true self offstage, mentioning that he also experiences beauty anxiety in private and knows almost nothing about cooking—he cannot even fry an egg. He joked, "I didn't know that heating an egg would make it hard," making the media present laugh and appearing very down-to-earth.

Nagase Ren won the championship in the "National Treasure-Level Handsome Guy Ranking" in a women’s fashion magazine in 2020, with a total of over 450,000 votes, setting a historical record, thus earning the title of "National Treasure-Level God Face." He admitted that he is not unfamiliar with such compliments, particularly feeling confident about his nose and facial contours. However, he sometimes still experiences beauty anxiety and has recently been a bit concerned that his eyes seem asymmetrical.

In the drama "It's Tough Being a Rich Boyfriend," Nagase Ren plays a "life idiot" from a wealthy family. He mentioned that he is equally incompetent at cooking in real life, unable to fry even a basic egg, and has no interest in learning to cook, often making some "dark cuisine." However, he recently took on an endorsement for dumplings and stated that he has learned to fry dumplings, which he is quite pleased about.

On his first trip to Taiwan, Nagase Ren expressed that he felt a fresh atmosphere right from the moment he got off the plane. He was surprised by the many scooters on the streets and the Chinese character signs. He also shared that the enthusiasm of the fans at the meeting made him even more excited, even wanting to compete with fans on who could be more hyped.

Nagase Ren also mentioned that if he has free time, he hopes to explore the night market, starting from the basic entrance. If time allows, he also wants to buy some souvenirs. He finally noted that the response on social media was very enthusiastic for the New Year’s Eve special program he participated in at the beginning of the year, expressing his hope that one day they could hold a concert in Taiwan under the name of King & Prince, "not just that everyone goes to Japan to see us, but that we can also come to Taiwan to see everyone."
