The concert venue provided makeup and hairstyling services, priced at around 1360 New Taiwan Dollars, and featured a purple theme that captivated fans looking to look their best. In response to the Qingming holiday, security personnel at the venue were significantly increased, and certain fan support items were restricted. A-Mei is the first Taiwanese female singer to perform at the Bird's Nest, and after concluding her Beijing show, she will continue her tour in China.
Pop diva Zhang Huimei held an amazing concert at the Beijing Bird's Nest, attracting enthusiastic anticipation from many fans. Familiar melodies echoed outside, prompting one fan to express, “Her music has accompanied me for over a decade, and I want to experience it live.” Many fans eagerly hoped to sing and dance along with A-mei to "Three Days and Three Nights." Moreover, a family of three specially took a high-speed train for four to five hours from Suzhou, Jiangsu, just to catch a glimpse of their idol.
A fan from Jiangsu stated, “I have liked her since middle school and have seen several of her concerts.” The mother beside her also revealed, “She often sings karaoke at home, and our whole family has fallen in love with Zhang Huimei because of it.” At the concert venue, makeover services were offered, allowing fans to enjoy the performance looking their best. A stylist disclosed, “The theme design this time is a heart rate monitor painting inspired by A-mei.” To enhance the live experience for fans, the Bird's Nest introduced a complete makeup and styling service, costing 298 yuan, approximately 1360 New Taiwan dollars.
Staff members regarding this service said, “The 298 yuan service includes glitter stickers, hairstyling, painting, and makeup.” A-mei's main color theme was purple, used in everything from bows to paintings. The designer in charge of makeup mentioned that over 20 appointments had already been made, but after the show starts, there might be hundreds of fans waiting for their makeovers.
As Zhang Huimei's concert coincided with the Qingming festival holiday, over a thousand security personnel were deployed outside the Bird's Nest six hours before the show to ensure safety. Inside the venue, fans had to adhere to numerous regulations, prohibited from bringing DIY banners, flags, and slogans; cheering tools were limited to officially provided glow sticks. One staff member at the scene stated that the stage and seating area were ready, and the staff were conducting final checks. Zhang Huimei not only performed here but was also the first Taiwanese female singer to sing at the Beijing Bird's Nest. The last Taiwanese artist to perform here was Mayday, almost a year ago.
Holding a concert at the Beijing Bird's Nest is no easy task for a singer; the venue is large, and the challenge is high, with 80,000 seats—20,000 more than Taipei's Arena—thus requiring a very high appeal to fill the house. After concluding her two-day performance in Beijing, Zhang Huimei will continue her China tour, heading to Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, and Nanchang, bringing her passion and emotion to even more fans.
