Japanese boy band King & Prince member Nagase Ren recently held two fan meetings in Taiwan, where he expressed his hope to perform a concert in Taiwan as a group in the future. In the interview, he shared his personal insecurities, such as anxiety about his appearance and not being good at cooking, even admitting that he can't fry an egg. He is praised for his "national treasure-level" good looks, but he also confessed that he sometimes feels insecure about his appearance. This was Nagase Ren's first time in Taiwan, and he found the local environment exciting, looking forward to having more time to explore night markets and buy souvenirs. He ultimately hoped that in the future, he could come to Taiwan with King & Prince to meet with fans.

Recently, Ren Nagase, a member of the Japanese boy group King & Prince, held two fan meet-and-greet events in Taiwan. After the events, he accepted an interview and shared his true self. He stated that he also experiences appearance anxiety in private and is completely clueless when it comes to cooking, even struggling to fry an egg. He humorously mentioned, "I found out that heating an egg makes it hard, which made the media present laugh."

Ren Nagase was crowned the champion of the "National Treasure Handsome Guy Ranking" voted by a women's fashion magazine in 2020, receiving over 450,000 votes, setting a historic record, and thus earned the title "National Treasure God Face." He is not unfamiliar with such compliments, especially those regarding his nose and profile, and he expressed that he is quite confident about those features. However, he also admitted to having appearance anxiety from time to time; for instance, he recently noticed a perceived difference in the size of his eyes but did not know the reason behind it.

In the drama series "It's Too Hard to Fall in Love with a Rich Boy," he plays a "life idiot" from a wealthy third generation family, and he is similarly inept at cooking in real life, unable to fry even a basic egg. Nevertheless, he recently took on a dumpling endorsement and stated that he has learned to fry dumplings, which he feels very satisfied about.

During his first visit to Taiwan, Ren Nagase was quite surprised by the fresh things around him. He mentioned seeing many new things on the road and in cars, such as scooters on the streets and Chinese characters on license plates. He also shared that he felt the enthusiasm of fans during the meet-and-greet and said that the atmosphere excited him even more, making him want to compete with fans to have even more fun together.

Ren Nagase hopes that if he has free time, he can visit the night markets and plans to start with some basic entry points, with intentions to explore further when given the opportunity. Additionally, he mentioned that when he participated in a program earlier this year via pre-recording, the community's reaction was enthusiastic, and he looks forward to one day coming to Taiwan to hold concerts as a group. "I hope that it won't be the fans coming to Japan to see us, but rather we come to Taiwan to meet everyone."
