During the Dajia Mazu pilgrimage event, 35-year-old Maitreya Tuan member Huang was attempting to clear a path for the palanquin at the intersection of Guangming Road and Shuntian Road in the Dajia District when he had a pushing conflict with a man in a white shirt. Huang was attacked by the man with a safety helmet. The police swiftly took action and found no fighting at the scene. Huang stated that the incident was triggered by the pushing and expressed a reluctance to pursue legal responsibility. The police will impose penalties according to the Social Order Maintenance Act.

The procession of Dajia Mazu passed through the intersection of Guangming Road and Shuntian Road on the evening of the 4th, when an incident occurred. A man dressed in white broke into the lineup and attacked members of the Maitreya group with a safety helmet.

According to reports, a thirty-five-year-old man from the Maitreya group wanted to clear a path for the palanquin but got into a conflict due to a push with the white-clad group. The man was immediately attacked by the man in white, but no significant injuries were reported. After receiving the report, the police quickly activated their rapid response mechanism and dispatched patrol and investigation teams to the scene, but no fighting or illegal activity was found.

The police stated that, after a preliminary investigation, Huang mentioned that due to the large crowd, a conflict arose again during the pushing process, and he indicated that he did not wish to pursue legal responsibility nor would he file a complaint, emphasizing that the incident was merely a dispute arising from a drunken argument. Currently, the police are still actively pursuing the involved man in white and will impose penalties according to the Social Order Maintenance Law.
