It is understood that the incident occurred when a large crowd was present, and members of the Zhenlan Temple encountered a pushing match with an unidentified group while clearing the way for Mazu's palanquin, leading to dissatisfaction and attacks from the group. The police remind participants to maintain respect and rationality to ensure the safety and harmony of the event.

After receiving the report, the police quickly arrested the suspect and submitted him for legal proceedings under the Social Order Maintenance Act.

According to police information, a citizen uploaded a video titled "Dajia Mazu Combat Cup" on the messaging platform Telegram. In the video, during the procession of the Mazu palanquin from the Dajia Zhenlan Temple, members of the temple clashed with a group of individuals dressed in white, leading to an angry response from one member of that group, who then grabbed a motorcycle helmet from the roadside and attacked the temple members.

Upon receiving the report, the police immediately dispatched a rapid response team to the scene, but the involved parties had already fled after the incident. After an investigation, the police spoke with a man surnamed Huang from the Zhenlan Temple who had been assaulted. Huang stated that due to the large crowd during the Mazu procession, the temple members needed to create a path for the Mazu palanquin, which may have caused the pushing incident with the white-clothed group, leading to the attack. Huang expressed that he did not wish to file any criminal complaint.

Police identified the suspect surnamed Huang through surveillance footage and notified him to come in for questioning. Ultimately, the incident was adjudicated under Article 87 of the Social Order Maintenance Act concerning "violence against a person." The Dajia police also reminded that the Dajia Mazu pilgrimage activities are an annual religious event that attracts a large number of participants, and all attendees should maintain an attitude of respect and rationality, showing understanding and tolerance during the event to create a safe and harmonious atmosphere. Police will take strict action against any behavior involving group brawls or disturbances, and will not show leniency.
