A residential area in the Rende District of Tainan City was attacked with a Molotov cocktail last month, causing a fire. A fire broke out at a certain building in the Rende District of Tainan City around 1 a.m. on the 21st of last month. After receiving the report, Tainan City's 119 quickly dispatched 25 fire trucks and 77 personnel to the scene for rescue. The fire was quite fierce and accompanied by thick smoke. The homeowner, a 51-year-old man with the surname Yang, fortunately escaped and stated, "Someone threw a Molotov cocktail, which caused the sudden fire." After police investigation, it was found that Yang's son was suspected of being involved in a scam group, and there was a nearly ten million NT dollar scam amount that had not been paid in full, which led the scam group to send someone to force him to appear, resulting in the attack with a Molotov cocktail at Yang's home, causing the fire.

The police immediately launched an investigation and arrested three men involved in the case. After questioning, these three were sent to the Tainan District Prosecutor's Office for investigation on charges of organized crime, public danger, attempted murder, intimidation, and destruction of property, while continuing to trace the cause of the arson and whether there were any masterminds behind it. After several days of investigation, the police confirmed that the fire was indeed caused by human actions and established a special task force to handle related matters.
