The incident occurred while he was celebrating a friend's birthday and passed by a McDonald's when he was attacked by a stranger with a knife. The police later arrested the suspect and found that he had committed the act under the influence of alcohol. The student expressed disappointment with the safety conditions in Taiwan and hopes others will take precautions. The school stated that it will provide necessary support.
