After being injured, he immediately called the police and received treatment, and the police successfully arrested the suspect shortly after. This incident has made him doubt the safety of Taiwan, as he had always believed it to be a safe place and chose to come here to study.

According to the police's preliminary investigation, the student inadvertently brushed past the suspect in the early morning. The suspect, who was intoxicated, became agitated after suspecting he was stared at and went home to get a knife before attacking the student. The police immediately launched a manhunt and successfully located the suspect’s vehicle and the weapon used in the attack.

After the incident, the university student received treatment, returned to his dormitory to recuperate after his wounds were stitched, and expressed gratitude to the police for their help and concern. The school also stated that it would provide full medical and legal support and hopes that the student can rest peacefully.
