Wei Chuan Dragons' Zhu Yuxian achieved his 1,000th career hit with a home run in the 36th season of the Chinese Professional Baseball League, becoming the 30th player in the league to reach this milestone. During the game against Fubon Guardians on the 5th, he recorded his 999th hit for the first time, and then hit a solo home run to successfully reach 1,000 hits. He is also the second player in CPBL history to achieve this milestone with a home run.

In the 36th season of the Chinese Professional Baseball League, Wei Chuan Dragons first baseman Zhu Yu-hsien achieved his career milestone of 1,000 hits with a home run.

Zhu Yu-hsien transferred to the Wei Chuan Dragons this year to start a new season. Before the season began, he accumulated 994 hits and made a pact with his new teammate Chen Tzu-hao to achieve the goal of 1,000 hits together. After the season started, Zhu Yu-hsien was in great form, and during his fourth at-bat on the 5th, he hit a solo home run, successfully achieving his 1,000th career hit, which was also his 170th home run, making him the 30th player in the league to reach 1,000 hits.

This off-season, Zhu Yu-hsien joined the Wei Chuan Dragons as a free agent, and he continued to perform well in the pre-season warm-up games. Chen Tzu-hao revealed that the two of them had agreed to reach the 1,000-hit goal together, but the speed at which Zhu Yu-hsien was progressing put pressure on Chen Tzu-hao. He had hits in the first three games, and before the game on the 5th, he was just two hits away from the 1,000-hit milestone.

In the game against Fubon Guardians on the 5th, Zhu Yu-hsien hit a long shot during his second at-bat in the bottom of the second inning, helping the Wei Chuan Dragons secure their fourth run, which was his 999th hit. Then, in the bottom of the fifth inning with two outs, he faced Fubon Guardians' You Ting-wei again and hit a solo home run to right field, extending the Wei Chuan Dragons' lead to 8-0, achieving his 1,000th career hit and 170th home run. He thus became the 30th player in the Chinese Professional Baseball League to reach 1,000 hits, with the previous player being Lin Zhi-ping from Rakuten Monkeys.

It is worth mentioning that Zhu Yu-hsien became the second player in CPBL history to achieve 1,000 hits with a home run, the first being Zhang Zhi-hao of the Chinatrust Brothers, who also reached the milestone with a home run on May 16, 2020.
