Chairman 董瑞斌 stated in his opening speech that if the number of participating teams exceeds 200, they will look for an indoor venue to provide a better environment for the children to enjoy the fun of baseball. Moreover, the scale of the mini baseball tournament has reached a new high, with preliminary rounds held in the northern, central, and southern regions, attracting more young players to participate. In the home run competition, 蔡愷夏 from the Taichung Beishi Raiders performed excellently and won the championship.

The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of the 5th at 9 AM, with distinguished guests including representatives from various baseball associations and related organizations. The chairman mentioned in his speech that the excellent performance of the Chinese team in international competitions makes everyone proud and emphasized that the development of baseball needs to take root from the grassroots level. Last year, a commitment was made to donate 1,300 sets of mini baseball equipment to elementary schools in Taiwan, with the goal of allowing more children to experience the joy of baseball.

On the day of the opening, light rain fell at the Qingpu Baseball Field, prompting the chairman to make another commitment. If the number of participating teams exceeds 200, he will seek an indoor baseball field to ensure that children can compete in a comfortable environment and enjoy quality time with their families. The chairman of the Chinese Mini Baseball Association stated that holding mini baseball games at the dome is not impossible, as the first mini baseball tournament was held at the Kaohsiung Dome in 2017.

The 2025 Mini Baseball Spring Tournament has a total of 12 U8 and 25 U10 teams participating, setting a record high in the total number of teams compared to last year's autumn tournament with 20 teams, showing a growth of over 180%. The preliminary rounds will take place in the northern, central, and southern regions, with the youngest participants being Qiu Hongyan and Chen Hanyi from the Wei Chuan Dragons’ Dream Team, who just turned 5 years old earlier this year. Although they did not advance to the national finals, they still demonstrated outstanding potential.

In the national finals, U8 matches will take place on the 5th, with participating teams including the Northern District's Good Hippo and Little Hawks, the Central District's Taichung Little Yankees and Taichung Little Dodgers, and the Southern District's Shengledy Little Baseball. On the 6th, U10 matches are scheduled, with participating teams including the Northern District's Zhu Feng Youth and Ximen Elementary School, the Central District's Taichung Little Dodgers and Dongshan Owls, the Southern District's Shengledy Baseball Club and Taichung Beishi Raiders, as well as the invited Qingpu Elementary School from Taoyuan and Beishi Dongyuan Elementary School, which won the right to compete in international contests.

In the U10 home run contest, Cai Kaixia from Taichung Beishi Raiders performed excellently to win the championship. His coach praised his outstanding athletic talent and hopes that Cai Kaixia can become a professional player in the future. Additionally, a 7-year-old from Good Hippo, Zhuang Lvy, hit the first home run of the U8 group when competing against Taichung Little Dodgers, marking his second career home run.

Former Chinatrust Brothers pitcher Guan Dayuan, serving as a coach for Qingpu Elementary School, also held a floral classroom on-site to share his expertise with players and parents. He expressed that today's children can enjoy the fun of playing baseball in a diverse environment, stating that compared to the past, today's children are much happier.
