Huang Teng-hui plays the rehabilitated character "Yang Jiu Ru," who is also a member of a blended family, forming a stark contrast to his real-life identity as a father of three. In the drama, he needs to accept the children from his new wife Li Xing's previous marriage, experiencing a mixture of unfamiliar and familiar emotions. Huang Teng-hui has a special affection for children and actively supports underprivileged kids, offering his heartfelt love to non-biological children as well.
Highlight 2: Four prisons in Taiwan supported the filming, leading to a major transformation in 60 extras' hairstyles. "Jiu Ru Family" tells the story of rehabilitated individuals, with Huang Teng-hui, Li Yun-qing, Wu Ling-shan, Huang Guan-zhi, Gao Shan-feng, and Lin Dao-yu all changing their looks for their roles. To portray a character addicted to drugs, Li Yun-qing cut his hair short for the first time since 2007, marking a significant breakthrough in his image. The prisons served as important filming locations, with the crew legally applying to shoot in four prisons and enlisting sixty extras with shaved heads to create the ideal visuals.
Highlight 3: Cai Chang-hsien portrays a character with disabilities for the first time. In the drama, he plays "A-Hong," whose left arm is underdeveloped. During filming in hot weather, wearing a prosthetic limb was very challenging. Cai Chang-hsien admitted that this role posed many challenges for him, especially in conveying physiological and psychological expressions, as his left arm was bound behind his back all day, which was quite uncomfortable. During shooting, he spent most of his time acting alongside Huang Teng-hui, with whom he has strengthened their rapport due to their long acquaintance.
Highlight 4: Huang Guan-zhi challenges himself with a ruthless character inspired by a coach. In the drama, Huang Guan-zhi plays the gang character "A-Hao," who experienced parental divorce at a young age and suffered domestic violence from his father due to his resemblance to his mother. Although the character’s background is unrelated to his own, he often thinks of his table tennis coach while portraying the violent character. Huang Guan-zhi expressed concerns about collaborating with the director and crew at the beginning of filming, feeling significant pressure, and mentioned that he needed to spend time adapting to refraining from using profanity in the character.

Chen Jian-ning hopes to create music with a global vision, especially inviting Xiao Yu to independently write the lyrics and melodies before adjustments and enhancements. The theme song "Wo Long Zhi Ying" is sung by Xiao Hong-ren, and its lyrics are closely tied to the plot, creating a strong resonance for him. The Mandarin song "Ying Huo Wei Guang" is performed by Xiao Yu, reflecting different feelings towards pain and loss across various age groups.
Highlight 6: The entire series consists of five chapters exploring choices of opportunity and fate, with an epilogue that will provide the audience with rich emotional value.
