According to reports, Obama strongly criticized the Trump administration's policies that reshape the federal system, suppress immigration, and restrict media freedom during a public interview at Hamilton College. He sarcastically pointed out, "If I had done these things back in the day, those who are silent now would have long come out to criticize me." Additionally, he accused the White House of exerting pressure on law firms and schools, believing this completely contradicts America's fundamental values and constitutional principles.

She mentioned that American society is filled with a sense of fear, many organizations choose to remain silent, and some people even succumb to obviously unconstitutional political pressure, "this fear is spreading."

After an agreement was reached between Trump and the law firm to which Harris's husband belongs, political maneuvering intensified. Trump claimed that the firm would provide at least $100 million worth of public interest legal services during his second term, raising questions about whether the White House was pressuring specific law firms through its power. Harris's husband has also expressed his stance, emphasizing that "the rule of law and democracy are under attack."

Harris emphasized, "Fear is contagious, but so is courage," calling on the American people to stick to their beliefs and speak out bravely. This is her most direct comment since Trump began his second term, indicating that the Democratic leadership's concerns about Trump's governance direction have entered a phase of open confrontation.
