Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the launch of a "Immigrant Gold Card," which requires an investment of $5 million (approximately 163.87 million New Taiwan Dollars) for purchase. Holders of this card will enjoy U.S. citizenship. Trump first showcased the gold card, featuring his portrait, aboard Air Force One, referring to it as the "Trump Card." He revealed that he is the first buyer and stated that the program will officially launch within two weeks. So far, over 1,000 gold cards have been sold, with approximately 37 million potential buyers. If 200,000 people purchase the gold card, it would generate $1 trillion in revenue for the country.

The Secretary of Commerce revealed last month that over 1,000 gold cards have already been sold, and there are approximately 37 million people globally capable of purchasing them. He further explained, "Currently, there are about 250,000 people in line for EB-5 applications. If 200,000 people buy these gold card green cards at $5 million each, it would generate $1 trillion in revenue for the country to pay off our debts." Data shows that a total of 135,518 EB-5 visas have been issued over the past 25 years.
