They also pointed out that the cabinet should be reorganized.
During the press conference, the Premier pointed out that the government will elevate its strategic focus to comprehensive proactive preparation and proposed 20 measures amounting to NT$88 billion, with NT$70 billion targeting industry and NT$18 billion supporting agriculture. Kuomintang lawmakers indicated that the government seems unprepared for the U.S. tariffs, and discussions within society about cabinet reorganization and the replacement of cabinet members continue to intensify. In particular, the absence of any remarks from the Minister of Economic Affairs at the scene has raised questions about whether he was silenced.
Furthermore, lawmakers emphasized the poor performance of the national security team, mentioning the remarks of a certain Democratic Progressive Party lawmaker, stating that the team’s evaluations differed significantly from the actual situation, advocating for the entire team to be replaced.
