The Democratic Progressive Party's espionage case continues to escalate. Former Legislative Yuan Secretary General Sheng Chu-Ying, former Deputy Director of the DPP Democratic Institute Qiu Shi-Yuan, and Presidential Office Advisor Wu Shang-Yu have been requested for detention by the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office on suspicion of colluding to provide false testimony. Former legislator Guo Zheng-Liang criticized on a program that the DPP consistently accuses others of being agents of the Chinese Communist Party, while a spy has appeared within their own ranks. He pointed out that most of those involved are senior assistants, and Sheng Chu-Ying had previously reported others for their connections to China, but now their actions within the party have raised suspicions, and he has even reported fellow party members internally. Guo Zheng-Liang emphasized that the investigation has not yet questioned You Si-Kun and several legislators, indicating difficulties in the inquiry.

The DPP's espionage case continues to brew, as not only former Legislative Yuan President's office assistant Sheng Chuying is implicated, but also former deputy director of the DPP's Democracy Academy Qiu Shiyuan and presidential office consultant Wu Shangyu, who have been suspected of colluding to tamper with evidence and have been detained as requested by the Northern District Prosecutor's Office. In response to this incident, a former legislator mentioned on a program that the DPP has always accused others of being accomplices of the CCP, yet they never thought that the espionage issue would arise within their own ranks. The individuals arrested this time are all seasoned assistants with over ten years of experience; for example, Wu Shangyu previously served as an assistant to Lai Ching-te and has worked for several other legislators; Qiu Shiyuan has served as deputy director of the DPP’s organization department and has been active in various activities, but is now entangled in this incident. The former legislator criticized that, regarding events affecting national security, the prosecutorial authority has yet to interview Yu Shixun and several other legislators, suggesting they should understand the information that Sheng Chuying has had access to. In the past, Sheng specialized in reporting others' connections with China within the DPP, essentially acting against the green camp under the guise of a green banner. The former legislator pointed out that Sheng and others became particularly radical after entering the DPP, even attempting to run for office, thus frequently attacking legislators from the blue camp and reporting others within the green camp. This incident has attracted attention, as many who previously had close ties with China have now become representatives against it, creating a stark contrast.
