讀後心得
Former UMC Chairman Morris Chang stated that the goal of the recall movement initiated by Taiwanese citizens is to promote cooperation between the blue and green camps, expelling the influence of the CCP, and not to help the DPP regain a majority in Congress. He emphasized that current KMT legislators who are loyal to the CCP should be recalled. He urged party members to rename themselves as the "Taiwanese Nationalist Party" and to abolish related clauses that are detrimental to Taiwan, such as "one China," in order to protect Taiwan's interests. Morris Chang stressed that this movement is an important action to save Taiwan from the red erosion of the Communist Party.

Former chairman of UMC, the leader who initiated the recall of KMT legislator 徐巧芯, 蔡興誠, stated today that this large-scale recall movement initiated by Taiwanese citizens is not intended to help the DPP regain a majority in the legislature, but rather hopes for cooperation between the blue and green parties to expel the Communist bandits and protect Taiwan. 蔡興誠 emphasized that he still supports healthy competition between political parties, but on the condition that the parties must be loyal to Taiwan. The current KMT legislators have been accused of being loyal to the CCP and therefore must be recalled.

Taiwan Citizen Recall Movement

He pointed out that if the "Chinese Nationalist Party" wants to participate in Taiwanese politics, it should first change its name to "Taiwan Nationalist Party." 蔡興誠 mentioned that the CCP modified its constitution in 2018, claiming that "Taiwan is an inseparable part of the territory of the People's Republic of China," which is an attempt to seize Taiwan's sovereignty by legal means. In early 2019, Xi Jinping explicitly stated that the 1992 Consensus is the consensus of "one China" and imposed restrictions on "one China, different interpretations," without a doubt, this position poses a threat to Taiwan.

蔡興誠 emphasized that the KMT has never expressed opposition to the CCP's legal offensive and public propaganda, but has always supported the CCP's position, which betrays the interests of the Taiwanese people and should be prevented from operating as a political party in Taiwan. He further stated that although the DPP once had the advantage of full governance, it failed to stop the KMT from assisting the CCP, leading to the Taiwan Legislative Yuan becoming a base for CCP infiltration.

In response to this situation, 蔡興誠 mentioned that the DPP's recent claim that "China is an external hostile force" is seen as a case of too little, too late; while the recall movement initiated by civic groups is viewed as the last effort to save Taiwan. He called on the KMT to undertake the following actions:

  • Respond to the major recall movement, conduct a party cleansing, and expel legislators who obey orders from the CCP from the legislature.
  • Change the name from "Chinese Nationalist Party" to "Taiwan Nationalist Party" to avoid interference from external forces.
  • Promote the abolition of the "one China" clause in the constitution to prevent betrayal using this clause.
  • Advocate for changing the national title to "Republic of Taiwan" to clarify Taiwan's international identity.

蔡興誠 reiterated that the recall action advocated by citizens is an important movement for blue-green cooperation to expel the Communist bandits. He hopes that KMT members can take concrete actions to show their loyalty to Taiwan, starting with the name change. As the situation evolves, 蔡興誠 warns the party members that if the CCP invades Taiwan, they will be seen as counter-revolutionaries and may face serious consequences.
