The favorability of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) also increased to 52.7%, nearly twice that of the Kuomintang (KMT). In contrast, the KMT's favorability dropped to 27.2%. Although the DPP's performance has garnered support, there are still divisions in public acceptance regarding the mass referendum. If the DPP hopes to maintain this momentum leading up to the mass referendum vote, it will face significant challenges.

Although the results of 賴清德 and the related polls should reflect the weakness of the opposition party, when asked whether the budget cuts by the opposition would exacerbate social unrest, over half of the public disagreed with this statement. When asked if they could accept the Democratic Progressive Party achieving full governing power through a large recall election, 54.3% of people also indicated they could not accept this, which shows that there are still concerns in society regarding large recall elections.
