Firefighters arrived at 4:55 PM and successfully extinguished the flames. The homeowner, a woman with the surname Guo, suffered minor injuries and was treated in the hospital, but her dog unfortunately died as it was unable to escape. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Today (5th) afternoon, a fire broke out at a tin-roofed building near Xiangshan in Xinyi District, Taipei City, with smoke billowing at the scene. Firefighters quickly arrived after receiving the report and extinguished the fire by around 5 PM. In this incident, only the homeowner sustained minor injuries, but unfortunately, her dog tragically perished due to not escaping in time.
According to fire department reports, the resident is a 51-year-old female. She immediately fled the scene upon discovering the fire. The fire crew successfully extinguished the flames at 4:55 PM, and the homeowner suffered minor burns (blisters) on her forehead and right hand. She was conscious and in no life-threatening condition and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment accompanied by family. Fortunately, there were no other casualties at the scene, but unfortunately, the homeowner's dog did not survive and ultimately succumbed in the fire.
As for the cause of the fire, further investigation reports are needed to clarify the details.
