Police investigations revealed that the man allegedly ran a red light while driving on Section 4 of Minsheng Road and struck the female rider who was proceeding straight under a green light. Although both parties tested negative for alcohol, the female rider was declared dead after being rushed to the hospital.

It is reported that due to the force of the impact, both the motorcycle and the truck were severely damaged, with the motorcycle trapped under the truck. The specific cause of the accident is still pending further analysis by professional assessment units. In addition to facing legal responsibilities, the man will also be fined between 1800 NT$ to 5400 NT$ and have his driver's license revoked for violating road traffic management regulations.
