After receiving a report, the police arrested the suspect and transferred them for legal action under the Social Order Maintenance Act. During the incident, tensions rose among the involved groups due to pushing and shoving, leading to random attacks by the suspect that resulted in injuries to the victims. The police urge participants in the event to remain rational and stated that any group fights will be dealt with severely.

The Dajia Mazu pilgrimage event is lively underway; however, a video circulating online shows a man allegedly getting into a scuffle with staff and attacking temple personnel with a motorcycle helmet! After receiving a report, the police swiftly arrested the man who committed the act and referred him to legal proceedings under the Social Order Maintenance Act.

According to the police, some citizens uploaded videos related to this incident on communication software, showing that while the Mazu palanquin from Dajia Zhenlan Temple was parading, a clash occurred between members of the temple and members of an unnamed group, leading to dissatisfaction from that group. They randomly picked up a helmet from the roadside and attacked the members of the Zhenlan Temple. When the police arrived at the scene, the man involved had already fled. Through investigation, the victim, a man with the surname Huang, indicated that due to the large crowd during the parade, he collided with members of that group, which resulted in their dissatisfaction and subsequent attack; however, he was unwilling to file any criminal charges.

Subsequently, the Dajia police tracked down the man involved using surveillance footage and summoned him for questioning. The incident was penalized under Article 87 of the Social Order Maintenance Act. The Dajia Police Station reminds everyone that the Mazu pilgrimage event is an annual religious grand occasion attracting a large number of devotees; all participants should maintain a respectful and rational attitude, and, in the crowded environment, understand and tolerate others to create a safe and harmonious pilgrimage atmosphere. If any disturbances, such as group fights, occur during the event, the police will enforce the law strictly and will not tolerate misconduct.
