The incident stemmed from overcrowding, leading to pushing among individuals, which caused dissatisfaction. The police urged the public to maintain respect and rationality during the event, strictly prohibiting fighting and disruptive behavior, and stated that such actions would be dealt with according to the law.

According to a report from the Instant News Center, the Dajia Mazu pilgrimage event has begun in a lively manner; however, a video circulating online shows a man allegedly involved in a physical altercation with staff, who even attacked temple personnel with a motorcycle helmet! After receiving a report, the police quickly apprehended the suspect, a man surnamed Huang, and transferred him for legal proceedings for violating the Social Order Maintenance Act.

According to information provided by the police, some citizens uploaded a video of the "Dajia Mazu Fighting Cup" via the messaging app Telegram. The footage shows members of the Zhenlan Temple and individuals in white shirts pushing against each other during Mazu's procession from Dajia Zhenlan Temple, leading to an unidentified man from that group feeling dissatisfied and suddenly picking up a helmet from a motorcycle parked by the roadside to hit a member of Zhenlan Temple.

When the police arrived to handle the situation, the suspected individual had already left the scene. After understanding the situation, they notified the attacked man, surnamed Huang, to report to the police for questioning. Huang stated that due to the large crowd during Mazu's procession, there might have been pushing when the Zhenlan Temple members were clearing the way for Mazu’s palanquin, which led to the attack. However, he indicated that he would not file any criminal charges.

After reviewing surveillance footage, Dajia police confirmed that Huang was a suspect and requested him to come in for questioning. Following the interrogation, they proceeded to handle the case according to Article 87 of the Social Order Maintenance Act, which pertains to "violence against others."

The Dajia Police Station reminds everyone that the Dajia Mazu pilgrimage is an annual religious event that attracts a large number of devotees. All participants should maintain a respectful and rational attitude, as the large crowds can inevitably lead to pushing and waiting situations.
