A bus collision incident occurred on the Chuo Expressway in Tokyo, Japan, injuring 47 people. The accident happened this morning when two buses collided, one of which was carrying several tourists from Taiwan who were on their way to Mount Fuji. Fortunately, none of them are in life-threatening condition.
According to reports, the incident took place around 10:15 AM Japan time, near the "Kobutsu Tunnel" on the Chuo Expressway in Hachioji City. Due to traffic congestion, the driver of the rear bus reportedly did not notice that the sightseeing bus in front was braking, resulting in the collision.
- There were about a dozen passengers on the sightseeing bus who were participating in a one-day tour to Mount Fuji organized by a well-known travel platform.
- The injured passengers included individuals from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore, with more than 10 sent to hospitals for examination, including 2 from Taiwan.
- The travel platform stated that it would assist travelers in their return, provide insurance support, and issue full refunds to all passengers.
Reports indicated that a passenger suspected to be from Hong Kong sustained a head injury in the accident, and about 10 ambulances arrived at the scene to provide assistance. After the incident, the tour guide helped distribute water and food, but due to the local temperature being around 10℃, there were insufficient warm blankets, and the travelers had to wait on-site for the shuttle bus.
