A 41-year-old woman with the surname Tsai took the opportunity to steal the ambulance and sped over 10 kilometers along the road. The police tracked her down to Kaohsiung Port using a positioning system and arrested her. She has been dealt with according to the law. The ambulance, which is valued at around 5 million TWD, was unharmed, and the fire department indicated that they will enhance staff training to prevent similar incidents in the future.

As a result, a woman took advantage of this moment to drive away with the ambulance, covering more than 10 kilometers. Fortunately, the ambulance was equipped with a tracking system, allowing the police to quickly locate the woman, who was eventually arrested at Kaohsiung Port and sent for legal processing.

The incident occurred in front of the Veterans General Hospital emergency room. At that time, two paramedics were urgently moving a patient and did not expect that just 30 seconds later, a woman quietly approached, ignoring her surroundings, and got into the driver's seat, driving away with the ambulance. While driving the ambulance, the woman honked the horn and sped off. Upon receiving the report, the police immediately initiated an interception action. Using the ambulance's tracking system, they traced her to the vicinity of Dock No. 10 at Kaohsiung Port, successfully intercepting the woman.

Police indicated that the suspect was not in a good mental state and has yet to explain why she decided to drive the ambulance. This incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Before stealing the ambulance, the woman had attempted to climb into a private ambulance parked nearby before approaching the Xinxing Division's ambulance to carry out her theft. The fire department stated that they would further strengthen training for personnel to prevent similar incidents from occurring again.

According to reports, the woman circled around the city before finally being stopped by the police. The deputy chief of the first battalion of the fire department emphasized that although this incident caused some losses, fortunately, the ambulance and its equipment were not damaged. The woman has now been processed in accordance with laws related to theft and obstructing public duty.
