A residential fire occurred in the Rende District of Tainan City, suspected to be arson by a fraud group. The fire broke out in the early morning of the 21st of last month, and the homeowner, a man with the surname Yang, was fortunate to escape, indicating that the source of the fire was a Molotov cocktail. Investigations revealed that Yang's son was involved in a fraud group, and due to the failure to pay nearly ten million in fraud money, he was threatened with violence. The police arrested three suspects and have transferred the case to the prosecutors for investigation, while continuing to track down the masterminds behind the incident.

In a certain townhouse on Chenggong 1st Street in the Rende District of Tainan City, around 1 a.m. on March 21 of last month, thick smoke suddenly erupted, causing a fire. The Tainan City 119 emergency service received the report and dispatched 25 fire trucks and 77 personnel to rescue. The scene of the fire was quite shocking; the homeowner, a 51-year-old man with the surname Yang, fortunately escaped from the fire scene and told the police and firefighters, "Someone threw a Molotov cocktail, which caused the sudden large fire." The police immediately launched an investigation and discovered that Mr. Yang's son was suspected to be a collector for a fraud ring, previously involved in a fraudulent amount close to ten million NT dollars, but he had not paid it back in full, leading the fraud group to force him to come forward. Hence, they sent someone to throw Molotov cocktails, igniting the fire.

The police recently arrested three men involved in the case. After questioning, they were transferred to the Tainan District Prosecutor's Office on charges of organized crime, public danger, attempted murder, intimidation, and destruction. The investigation into the motives for the arson and whether there were any masterminds behind it is ongoing. It was understood that after the arson, the Jiuru Police immediately launched an investigation and confirmed that the fire was indeed caused by someone throwing Molotov cocktails. After several days of investigation, the police identified three suspects and arrested them. Although these three suspects made various excuses regarding the reason for the arson, the police continued their investigation based on the relevant charges, while also ongoingly looking into whether there were any instigators or controllers involved.
