In New Taipei City, a 19-year-old military police officer surnamed Hsu, suspecting that his girlfriend, a military police officer surnamed Liu, was cheating on him, strangled her to death on May 18 of last year. He even violated her body twice afterward. Ultimately, he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the New Taipei District Court, along with a lifetime deprivation of civil rights. After breaking up with Liu, Hsu lost control of his emotions, and his actions of attacking and violating the corpse were extremely heinous, causing profound pain to Liu's family. The judge deemed his behavior highly malicious and consolidated the sentence. This case can still be appealed.

However, due to the man's excessive need for control, it often led to arguments. Eventually, the woman proposed a breakup on May 16 last year, and the man, unwilling to accept it, deeply suspected her of cheating. On the evening of May 17, he broke into his girlfriend's residence with a key and had a fierce argument with her. After choking her to death, he also violently acted against her corpse. While chatting with other fellow soldiers, he even referred to her demise by saying, "She is dead." After the girlfriend's family discovered the situation, the man still attempted to prevent their attempts at resuscitation.

After deliberation, the judge determined that the man's actions were extremely heinous, causing severe psychological trauma to the family. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and received separate sentences for offenses such as the desecration of a corpse, with the final decision to serve the sentences concurrently. The entire case remains open for appeal.
