The police immediately dispatched personnel to handle the situation. Upon detailed inquiry, it was found that when the firefighters were rescuing a patient to the hospital, they left the engine running. When they returned after several dozen seconds, they discovered that the ambulance was missing. After notifying the 110 Operation Center, an online police team was promptly instructed to intercept and capture the suspect. By using the vehicle's tracking system provided by the fire department and reviewing surveillance footage, it was discovered that the woman (later identified as a 41-year-old named Tsai) had taken a taxi to the hospital emergency room and drove away when she found the back door of the ambulance was open.

The Zuoying District noted that the police intercepted and captured the woman at 11:50 AM today within the Kaohsiung Port area. Upon inspection, it was found that the vehicle was undamaged. The woman was arrested on the spot for theft, and preliminary investigations indicated that she was emotionally unstable. Subsequently, she will be transferred to the Qiaotou District Prosecutor's Office for further investigation related to theft under the Criminal Law and obstruction of public duties.
