Taiwan Power Company launched the "Electricity Usage Activity Indicator" feature in its app, which helps users analyze their daily electricity usage through visualized data and detect any anomalies. This feature allows friends and family to remotely check on the electricity usage of elderly individuals, and based on electricity data, it can indicate health status, ensuring safety and convenience. Users only need to update the app to enable this feature, achieving a smart electricity living experience.
The Taiwan Power APP launched a brand new "Electricity Usage Indicators" feature, which presents daily electricity consumption status in a visual way, helping users determine whether their electricity usage is abnormal, thus enhancing the smart electricity living experience.
In response to the trend of an aging society, Taiwan Power referenced Japan's smart home care services to launch this feature. This function utilizes electricity data collected from smart meters to conduct visual analysis of daily electricity usage patterns, allowing users to identify any abnormal electricity usage situations. With the electricity number authorization mechanism, friends and family can track the elderly's electricity changes through the APP, ensuring they can care for their loved ones' living conditions even from a distance.
After updating the Taiwan Power APP, users can enable the "Electricity Usage Indicators" feature in the AMI service application section. The system will collect and analyze approximately 3,000 electricity data points from users over the past month, creating an electricity usage habit model and comparing it with daily electricity frequency and usage periods. Based on the extent of the differences, the system will display the evaluation results using four color indicators: green (good condition), blue (generally normal), yellow (needs attention), and red (abnormal).
The Electricity Usage Indicator feature will automatically update every night at 11 PM, allowing users to view the most recent seven color indicator messages. Combined with the APP's "Electricity Information" and "Residential Electricity Analysis" features, users can further confirm their household's electricity status and ascertain any abnormal situations. For example, if an elderly family member has a habit of using electrical appliances in the morning but there is no electricity record on a particular day, the system will indicate "abnormal" with a red light to alert family members to pay attention.
The elderly can also use the electricity number authorization feature to share electricity usage indicator information with family members, maintaining interaction and concern even from afar. Taiwan Power continues to promote the digitalization and innovation of electricity services, and as of the end of last year, the number of installed smart meters had surpassed 3.4 million. The Taiwan Power APP also integrates multiple services, including "Residential Electricity Analysis," which can estimate household appliance electricity usage, "Energy-Saving Tips" that provide personalized energy-saving suggestions, and the "Electricity Usage Indicators" service that measures electricity usage habits, aimed at ensuring the home safety of the elderly while also becoming an effective tool for caring for family members, making electricity usage smarter and more convenient.
